The management of the groundwater resources, in terms of quantity and quality, is a main objective for most groundwater studies. Groundwater remediation is one of the groundwater management problems which has received much attention among hydrogeologists in the last decade. This is because of the health threat of groundwater contamination to humans and organisms. The method of pump-and-treat is one of the most used methods for remediation of contaminated aquifers. Unfortunately, the success rate of the method is limited.
