Geomatics Research Forum (GeoReForm) is the year's forum was held to be a vehicle for communication and exchange of ideas among researchers in the field of Geomatics. GeoReForm 2006 was held on August 25, 2006, held at Jakarta Convention Center. This forum was attended by more than 100 participants from various research institutes, universities, local governments and private parties.
In the midst of a wave of disasters that struck our homeland, it felt very appropriate that GeoReForm 2006 with the theme "Multi-Hazards: Challenges for Risk Assessment, Mapping and Management". In this forum with interesting discussion about the role and needs of spatial data in case of disaster. Speakers who presented at this event were Dr. Suharjono, MSc (BMG), Dr. Dwi Korita (Geology UGM), Dr. Ratdomo Purbo (BPPTK Merapi), Hening Parlan (MPBI) and Ujang Dede Lesmana (PMI Central). They represent a wide range of cross-agency research institutes, universities, NGOs, Disaster and institutions directly involved in the management of disaster victims. Results from GeoReForm 2006 is then poured into a single proceeding.
GeoReform 2007
We invite researchers, practitioners and providers of data and technology penggujna Geomatics, to join in 2007 which we will GeoReForm held in late August 2007. There is no registration fee for participation in this event GeoReForm. Associated with this information can be obtained by contacting us. In addition to attending, we also expect the participation of the writing of papers associated with the development and application of geospatial technologies in various aspects to be presented in this event.
